Fabulous Events for Celebrating New Year's Eve In Park City
Nothing makes me feel older than New Year's on a Ski Vacation. Muscles aching you'll typically find me bundled on my sofa drinking wine watching a movie. I realize that the rest of the world prefers to ring in the New Year with much more pizazz! So, if I were to venture out of my jammies to celebrate New Year's Eve here are my top picks!
Looking for a way to celebrate with the family?
Hit Jupiter Bowl for a night of bowling you can reserve a lane, or if you have a group - book a private room. Jupiter Bar has a full bar and we can always find selections on the food menu that please the entire family.
Gorgoza Park doesn't stay open until midnight, but if you are looking for a fun way for the family to play together on the last evening of the year… Gorgoza Park fits the bill.
Book the Park City Ice Rink - For $260 you can have the ice at the Park City Arena all to yourself (or your group)! At the time of publication the 8-9PM time slot was still free!
Head to the Canyons: The Canyons New Years Eve celebrations begin in the village at 3PM, wrapping up with a fireworks display at 7:30PM. Festivities include Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides, Jugglers, Magicians, a DJ, Jibbin' For Juniors Jam (free - but requires registration 435-615-3449)
On December 30th, Dear Valley's Torchlight Parade will be held at approximately 6 p.m. (dusk) on Big Stick ski run on Bald Eagle Mountain. Complimentary hot apple cider and cookies will be served.
Planning to celebrate without Little People?
The Montage Deer Valley hosts a New Year's Eve gala with live music and festivities. Little one's can celebrate at Paintbox, the Montage's Children's program for children ages 5 - 12.
The Canyons hosts a Black & White Ball at the Grand Summit that goes past midnight. Call the Canyons central reservation line to get all the details. 435-618-8040
Many of the restaurants in the area offer a New Years dining options. For example Shabu will be serving their New Years Menu starting at 5PM. Check with your favorite restaurants to find out what they are offering.
