Mondays with Mary: Getting Teens to take Ski School

Posted by Mary on March 14, 2011

Do you have any tips to encourage reluctant teens or tweens to sign on for a day at ski school?

mondays-with-mary (mondays-with-mary)First of all, they should know that we don’t make the tweens or teens participate with children other than with their own similarly aged peers, unless it’s a family request, or other circumstances. The social aspect just doesn’t work well with big age differences.

Also even teens/tweens can become better, more efficient skiers/riders by taking a lesson. Coaching can help everyone, and it’s fun to explore the mountain with a coach who  can take you places your family may not be aware of. And  what’s not to like about lunch of their choice?

Mondays with Mary is a weekly column where our Kids Mountain School Manager answers your most common questions.
