I Ride Park City Freestyle Camp

Do you have kids between the ages of 9-15? Have they been skiing or snowboarding for a few years and are looking for something new to try? Do they watch the kids in the terrain park and want to learn to do that, or improve their skills?

If you answered "yes" to these questions, then Park City Mountain Resort has a perfect camp for you. Whether you are local to Park City, or visiting the area on your spring break, these 3 day camps are just the right thing for the tween and teen set.

Our three girls have been skiing since the age of 3, and they can pretty much ski anything on the mountain. As vacationers to Park City who had really only skied a week or two a year, one thing they hadn't really been able to master is the terrain park. If you've ever ventured into a terrain park, there are some mighty talented kids in there. They can hit the rails with ease.  The girls always had the interest, but weren't sure where to start.

When we found out about the camp, it was the perfect opportunity to have them learn a few tricks with an instructor. Even better, the kids are equipped with a GoPro to take a video of their progress, which gets pulled together by the kids in the video editing lab. The three day camp ends with a party and a video reveal, along with a little swag. The girls had a great time, met some new kids, felt more comfortable in the terrain park, and have an awesome video clip from their vacation. Check out the awesome camp video here! What more could we ask for?

Well, we actually ended up with a lot more. Not only did we have happy teens and tweens, my husband and I had three wonderful days on the mountain to spend together. Since we were out for a 9-day trip, it was the perfect balance of family time, date time, and some independence for the girls.  The final review? Six thumbs up from the girls, and four more from my husband and me.

If you aren't on vacation, but live in Park City or nearby and are on "staycation," what better way to get your kids involved in something fun during their days off? The next session starts Wednesday, February 20th, so give them a call today to sign up!
