Snowflakes for Sandy Hook

Snowflakes (snowflakesforsandyhook)

One of the greatest things about the Snowmamas/Snowpapas is the amazing community that has developed. In 2008, when I founded Snowmamas, I built it to be a resource to make winter mountain travel easier. What has developed is truly amazing. The Snowmamas/Snowpapas is a community that is always looking at ways to help each other. And now the Newtown community needs our help.

Yesterday one of our Advisory Council members posted something about the National PTA's project of making Snowflakes for the students of Sandy Hook Elementary. They will use the snowflakes to help decorate the halls of the new school where the  Sandy Hook elementary students will be returning after the holidays.

I can't think of a better way for our Snowmamas/Snowpapas Community to show our support and love for another community. Our "Snowflakes" can help bring joy and smiles to these sweet students. This is certainly the "Greater Good" that we are all about! It may even give you something great to do with your kids while they are out of school.

They have asked that all of our snowflakes arrive by January 12, 2013. If you would like to participate,  please send your snowflakes to us by Monday, January 7. Please mark the words "Snowflakes for Sandy Hook" on the package. We will package them all up with lots of Snowmama/Snowpapa love and send them to Newtown. For more information, you can visit the National Parent Teacher Association's Facebook Page.

  • Please send them to:

Snowmama Marie has a fun and easy way to  make Coffee Filter Snowflakes. Let's give the Newtown community a blizzard of love from the Snowmamas/Snowpapas!
