King Con and The Demo Center: Kheri's Trip Diary Day Four
The lessons for the kids have been great not only because of what they are learning but because they give my husband Tolbert and I a chance to really ski the mountain.
Kheri and Tolbert enjoy some time on the mountain, without the kids!
We found some great terrain off of King Con. A good mix with Blues and Black trails to challenge us. We made a stop by the Summit Demo Center to try some other skis. The person there was really helpful. He knew what questions to ask to get me into a better pair of skis. We also had a chance to do the weekly Friday Snowmama Meet Up with Snowmama Jen and another local mom. It was fun to hit the mountain with other Snowmamas.

The altitude took it’s toll today and after a few runs, I had to stop at the Mid Mountain lodge for 2 bottles of water where I met a great group of skiers from England. They have been skiing around the world for years but this was their first year at Park City. They have skied in Colorado and Canada and they love Park City. The diversity of mountains in such a close range and the friendliness of the staff has them rating Park City at the top of the list.
At the end of the day, of course after hitting the slopes with the kids, we headed back to the condo. The kids decided to mark the trail map of where they had skied thus far. So I told them to keep that map and we would frame it so when we come next year they can remember their favorite and most difficult runs. It was a fun activity and a great way for us to see how they were progressing.

The most difficult question of the day was, “What’s for dinner?” Time for takeout! I used the internet to find www.parkcityinfo.com/visitors/restaurants. It had a long list of restaurants that I could sort by type. We found a great Pizza take out, at Davanzas on Park Avenue. They had 3 sizes of pizza, a great selection of toppings and pizza that was delicious! That and a house salad and we were set. A quick stop at 7Eleven for some ice cream sandwiches and I was the hero when I returned to the condo.
