10th Anniversary Celebration of the 2002 Winter Games
This year is the 10th Anniversary celebration of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. There will be competitions, Olympic related activities, exhibits, athlete appearances, autograph sessions, receptions and community gatherings to help celebrate the anniversary.
10th Anniversary activities include:
- Celebration on Park City's Historic Main Street on February 1st, from 5pm-10pm, with a number of Olympic-related activities preceding a free concert by Robert Randolph and the Family Band. Pre-concert activities include a Torch Relay.
- 2002 Olympic highlight videos; a commemorative 10-year Olympic Anniversary pin; official Olympic mascots on Main Street; recognition of 2002 Olympians and Paralympians, current Olympic team members, and future Olympic-sport development teams in Park City; and a fireworks show to close out the night of festivities.
Three Olympic-sport competitions will take place in the month of February-Freestyle World Cup at Deer Valley Resort (Feb 1-4); Skeleton Intercontinental Cup at Utah Olympic Park (Feb 6-11); and US Snowboarding & Freeskiing Grand Prix at Canyons (Feb 9-12).
