Heather started skiing as soon as she was walking, zooming down her own backyard when she wasn’t on the slopes. Soon enough she was racing in local programs, and by age six, had earned the nickname “Phantom” for ducking off the trails into the woods to search for fresh tracks. Eventually she earned the moniker, “Crash” as she never quite evolved a fear of falling.
When she wasn’t on skis, she spent her days in 4-H and Pony Club exploring the woods surrounding her family’s small farm in New York. She attended Killington Mountain School in Vermont, Bates College in Maine, and the Culinary Institute of America in New York. She has been a ski instructor and coached ski racing, a chef and a pastry artist.
These days Heather calls Park City home, where she lives with her amazing husband, two snow-loving children, and a big goofy Bernese Mountain dog. She is an artist and storyteller at heart, always looking for beauty and truth in the everyday. As a professional photographer, she is most likely to be found with a camera in her hands, telling stories with the images she captures. She loves to run and bike the trails when it's not winter, and encourages kids of all ages to go outdoors to play!
