Chicken Wings: Chara's Trip Diary Day 1
I'm kind of like Sam from iCarly when it comes to chicken wings. I'm not proud of this. I don't even really like Sam. I'm partial to Freddy, which makes a true devotion to Sam impossible. But that's a discussion for another day.
The point is, I love my wings. And I never in a million years expected to find great wings around here. It was an unfair assumption. Great spice, good chicken. Not that brown stuff ("meat") covered in sweet stuff (corn syrup) that you sometimes get. I was so thrilled about it that I forgot to take a picture. (Also kind of Sam-like for those of you who are keeping track.)
Who wouldn't love the snow in a hat like that?
But I'd highly recommend swinging by the New York Pizza Company which they call "the best value for your dollar in Park City". I have to agree. An 18 inch pepperoni pizza is $18.49, plus 10% off if you happen to come straight from Gorgoza Park. When I was there, no actual coupons existed. We were just told by the folks at Gorgoza to mention their name and the New York Pizza Company honored the deal.
Gorgoza Park. The fastest two hours of your life. My kids, my So Cal babies, had so much fun at Gorgoza that they forgot to be cold. It was about 20 degrees.
Our rental experience at Park City Mountain Rentals was efficient and charming. Really, charming is the right word. Genuine smiles from the staff as we tried on boot after boot.
No time on the mountain today. Much of the day was spent in airports and we didn't even get here until after 4 pm. But it's been an great first day and we're looking forward to snowboarding tomorrow!
