Why Spend Spring Break at Park City Mountain Resort?
For many people, Spring Break conjures up images of sand and surf but after our experience at Park City Mountain Resort last year, we’re all about snow and sunshine.
But I’ll admit it: The temperatures in Denver were rising and I was reluctant to return to the snow and cold. Until we arrived at Park City Mountain Resort’s winter wonderland.
The snow totals were epic. On April 4th, 2010 the resort had received 14 inches of new snow. On April 5th, it snowed more 8 inches and then Mother Nature delivered the whopper on April 6th: 25 inches of glorious pow, with a settled base depth of 110 inches. No beach could ever compare to that.
Not to mention, you can always find some great Spring Package Deals. Right now Park City Mountain Resort is offering all of its Snowmamas a special opportunity to shred the mountain they love with their family. This Snowmama Getaway includes 4 nights lodging and two three-day lift tickets for our favorite mamas on the mountain. My family had the time of our lives. My husband and I had intended to take a Power Clinic to master moguls but that was impossible with the now-buried bumps. We instead learned to literally float on our skis in the knee-deep powder.
The kids were in their element as well. When not happily cruising down the mountain in their Signature 5 ski classes--no more than five kids per instructor-- they were building snow forts and pelting each other with snowballs. Every family has their own way of expressing love.
And spending Spring Break at Park City Mountain Resort is ours.
Spring Break Happenings:
Sure, Park City Mountain Resort’s late-season snow and sunshine are intoxicating but that’s not all the resort offers. On March 26-28, be sure to check out the Queens Cup Open, which is an all-female, skiers rail jam, slopestyle and halfpipe competition.
PCMR will have an “Early Easter Celebration” on April 3 with their traditional Easter Egg Hunt. This will include the grand prize of two Golden Eggs that hold two season passes for the 2011-2012 winter season.
